ENVIRON 816
Applied Environmental Policy Analysis
Kimberly R. Marion Suiseeya
Description from DukeHub
Environmental policy issues are questions about what governments should do to address environmental problems, e.g., pollution, biodiversity loss, climate change. We will explore ways to identify, examine and design policy solutions to problems like these and others with a focus on the global ecological crisis. With attention to global, domestic, and tribal developments, we will use an interdisciplinary and evidence-based approach to evaluate nature loss, sociocultural, economic, and political consequences, related policy problems, and potential remedies. This is the grad section of ENV 316. Grad students will complete additional assignments, such as a stakeholder mapping and analysis brief.
