Description from DukeHub
This course examines the Anthropocene, with climate change as a defining marker, through artistic and design practices. Students create original artworks and design projects across analog and digital media using sustainable materials while exploring how scientists and artists and designers respond to social and ecological crises. Through readings, artworks, workshops, and guests visits, students investigate climate change, environmental justice, and ecosystem change. Assessment includes written reflections, critiques, portfolios, and a final public-facing project.
